Voice of Dahc

Voice of Dahc is a personal voice-assistant project built by Chad Riffle for his own home computer. It lets Chad speak a request from his phone — for example, "check this file" or "send that as an email" — and have it carried out by a small piece of software (nicknamed Relay) running on his own machine at home.

This is not a public product or service. It has exactly one user (Chad) and is not distributed, marketed, or offered to anyone else.

What it does

Accepts a spoken request from Chad's phone (via a companion app, "Herald")
Carries out the request using a Claude-based agent running locally on Chad's own computer
Sensitive actions — writing files, running commands, or sending email — require Chad's explicit one-tap approval on his phone before they happen
Speaks the result back to Chad

Email sending

One capability lets Chad ask, by voice, for an email to be sent on his behalf (for example, "email me that summary"). This uses the Gmail API's gmail.send scope, which allows sending mail only — it cannot read, search, or otherwise access any mailbox content.
